Item Creation

Q: What are these products made from?
A: We use PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) for our 3D printed products, it's strong and temperature-stable, making it well-suited to network cabinets, server rooms, and similar setups. For applications that require the addition of durable steel, Hive Tech Solutions offers the PRO Series.

Q: How does 3D printing work?
A: We prepare every design in-house, slice it into hundreds of fine layers, then print it bit by bit on our specialised printers, melting and fusing each layer into place. The result is a solid, precise object built up gradually rather than produced instantly. As with any 3D printed product, there can be slight cosmetic differences between items, but this typically doesn't affect functionality.

Q: How can I custom order?
A: Send us the details of what you're after, whether it's a simple tweak or a brand new design, and our team will take a look. Check out our Custom Capabilities page for more info on how it works, or contact us to get started.

Q: Do you sell .STL files?
A: Not at this stage.

Q: How long is turnaround?
A: We print every item to order, so turnaround depends on our current print queue. Smaller orders are typically ready in 2-5 business days. Bulk and custom orders may take longer. Please contact us for an estimated time. If you have a date you're working towards, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Returns

Q: What if the item is damaged/faulty?
A: 
We strive to provide high-quality products to our customers, but we understand that on rare occasions, items may arrive damaged or faulty. In the event that this happens, we offer a refund or replacement for the affected item(s) provided that we are notified within 14 days of receipt.

Q: What if I change my mind?
A: 
If the order is personalised (with a specified logo/branding) we cannot refund. If you change your mind about a standard order please let us know ASAP so we can take action to cancel the print prior to shipping.

Q: How else can I purchase from you?

We have an active Etsy store you are welcome to visit.

Q: Do you have a shopfront I can visit?
A:
We make everything to order at our 3D printing facility in Seaford, so it's a workshop rather than a walk-in shop, meaning there's nothing sitting on shelves to browse. We do welcome visits by appointment though, just reach out and we'll sort a time.

We ship worldwide.

Q: Are there additional fees for International Orders?
A:
Each country has their own duties and tax thresholds for importation. Whilst we include the local taxes (GST) for Australian orders in our pricing, we do not collect any international taxes. The end customer is responsible for paying their importation duties.

Q: What other shipping methods can you provide?
A:
Besides our standard shipping service, we are able to offer DHL Express as a shipping alternative. This is an ideal solution for urgent or high-value orders requiring faster delivery and enhanced tracking. As this is a premium service, additional fees will apply. Let us know if you are interested and we can send you a quote for this service. Please note that we will require your cell phone number for DHL's communication procedure.
